• Amazing Whole School History Timeline - Mural painted by Jo Bell

  Over the past couple of weeks, we have been lucky enough to have local artist, Jo Bell in school to paint our whole school history timeline in the hall. This will allow the children to have a clear understanding of local and world events of the past. We're really pleased with it!

  Spelling Shed Launch Day

  To launch our new spelling scheme, we had a bee-rilliant day! We dressed as bees, played spelling games, had great fun collecting letters in an orienteering spelling hunt and competed to make the most words using the letters we found! What a buzzy day we had!

  

• Raising money for Comic Relief

  The children had an amazing day raising funds for Comic Relief with their crazy hair! A grand total of £673 was raised by donations and selling cakes at break time.

  

• Raising money for the Ukraine Crisis

  Sat 05 Mar 2022

  Today’s popcorn sale raised a fabulous £165. Thank you for your support with this. We will send this directly to the British Red Cross for the Ukraine Crisis Appeal. This week school has also sent a large amount of food to a local donation station. This will be sent to the Ukraine to help families in need.

• World Book Day

  Today staff and children had an amazing day dressing up as exciting, interesting expanded noun phases. All the staff were really impressed with the children’s costumes and parents and carers creativity. We had nurses, superheroes, book characters, historical figures and even a coffee cup!

  Today concludes our reading week where we have been encouraging the children to read a variety of different texts.

• Author Visit — Book Week

  The talented author Fay Evans - Children's Author visited Dalestorth today. Fay inspired the children to read and write with her passion and love for books.

  The children enjoyed listening to Fay read her books: ‘Fred The Fire-Sneezing Dragon’ and ‘Bob’s Beard’. They especially liked getting involved in the story telling.
