Bronze – x2, x5, x10, x3, x4 – 10 minutes

Square numbers – 5 minutes

Cube numbers – 5 minutes

Multiply and divide whole and decimal numbers by 10, 100, 1000 – 10 minutes

Order of operations and brackets e.g. 2 + 1 x 3 = 5 and (2+1) x 3 = 9 – 10 minutes

Add and subtract fractions, e.g. ¼ + ½ = ¾ and ¾ - ½ = ¼ – 10 minutes

Multiply and divide fractions, e.g. ¼ x ½ = 1/8 and 1/3 ÷ 2 = 1/6 – 10 minutes

Percentages, e.g. 15% of 50 = 7.5 and 3% of 60 = 1.8 – 10 minutes

Algebra, e.g. 2a + b = 15    a=6   b=  and 54 – (7c ÷ 3) = 40  c =     – 10 minutes

Ultimate test - a mixture of all of the above - 10  minutes

For KS2 tests children MUST achieve full marks twice in a row to achieve

 

      Times Tables Rewards 

 

KS1

      When a child achieved their number bonds to 10, 20 or their 2, 5 or 10 times tables they will             receive a certificate in praise assembly. 

 

KS2

When a child achieves a single times table from 2 to 12 they receive a sticker. Once a child has achieved all their single times tables up to 12 x 12 they receive a certificate. When a child achieves the bronze times table test within the set time they receive a certificate and a badge in praise assembly. These rewards are then continued for the silver challenge and above.

Times Tables Rock Stars 

 

Times Table Rock Stars is a fun and challenging programme designed to help students master the times tables! At Dalestorth, Year 2 to 6 have a TTRS account. To be a Times Table Rock Star you need to answer any multiplication fact up to 12×12 in less than 3 seconds! Each child will be given a Rock Speed and Status based on how quickly they can answer questions and how many they can answer correctly.

 

The Rock Speeds and Statuses

By answering a question in the given times below, these are the statuses you can achieve!

Rock Hero - 1 second per question or less 

Rock Legend - 2 seconds per question or less 

Rock Star - 3 seconds per question or less 

Headliner - 4 seconds per question or less 

Support Act - 5 seconds per question or less 

Breakthrough Artist - 6 seconds per question or less 

Unsigned Act - 7 seconds per question or less 

Gigger - 8 seconds per question or less 

Busker - 9 seconds per question or less 

Garage Rocker - 10 seconds per question or less 

Wannabe - more than 10 seconds per question

- Compete against your friends in the class

- Games are 1 minute long

- Earn 1 coin per correct answer

 

Festival

- Play against children from around the world!

- Lots of questions - 12x12

- Games are 1 minute long

- Earn 1 coin per correct answer

 

Soundcheck

- 25 questions with a 6 second time limit for each

- Multiplication only

- Earn 5 coins per correct answer

- Simulates the Multiplication Table Check which our Year 4 children will sit in June 2020.

 

Remember, the more you play and the more questions you get correct, the more coins you can earn for your Avatar! Can you master your Times Tables and become a Rock Star?

Each week, one child will get the 'Rock Star Award' for going on or improving on TRRS. 

 

We also have a bi-weekly tournament between classes and the class with the most amount of points wins the 'Times Table Trophy'. 

 

Rock Star Day

 

To launch times tables, we had a Rock Star Day. The children had the chance to explore TTRS and Numbots. We had an amazing day!
