National Day of Reflection

On Tuesday 23rd March, Dalestorth joined in with the UK's National Day of Reflection to reflect on our collective loss, support those who've been bereaved, and hope for a brighter future.

During the morning, we tied ribbons onto the school fence then observed a minute silence at 12pm. After the silence, we joined in with a whole school clap and listened to some uplifting music. Then we celebrated "hope" for the future by having a dance!

Red Nose Day!

We donated money to come to school in non-uniform and also take part in a cake sale. We learnt all about what Red Nose Day and the great things that they do for children and families with the money raised.

 A super Santa day!

We had great fun when Santa came to visit in his tuk-tuk. He collected our donations to help school children in Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, we had our Christmas Party. We had lots of fun dancing and playing party games! We even played pass the parcel!

Elves at the Christmas Workshop!

We learnt all about advent and why Christmas is so important to the Christian faith. There were loads of fun activities like making a Christingle, an advent wreath, retelling the nativity story and sharing ideas about what is important at Christmas time. It was great!

We came to school in their Christmas jumpers. We ate Christmas dinner and then watched the Panto! Look how festive we look!

A Bundle of Joy

We performed brilliantly, singing and saying our lines clearly in our Christmas play. We told the Christmas story, "A Bundle of Joy" and looked fabulous in our costumes.

All the fun of the fair

We had such fun at our Christmas Bubble Fair! We swapped our money for tokens and had a great time spending them. We played hook a duck, bought chocolates and treats we had made, played spin-to-win and had a colouring competition! A super afternoon was had by all and we raised £300!

Children-in-Need

What fun we had! We exercised with Joe Wickes, ate cake, came dressed in bright clothes, made Pudsey bunting and raised lots! Great work for Pudsey!

Macmillan Coffee Day

To raise money for Macmillan, we came to school dressed in purple and green. We had a lovely time eating cake and we raised £300! Delicious fund raising!
