Year 5 - Jaguars

Welcome to year 5 Jaguars

Our teacher is Mr Milano. (Mrs Holt is on maternity leave)

I am really excited to be teaching Jaguars this year! I could not think of a better class to start my teaching career within. I hope to bring high quality learning, creativity and fun to our class. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to come and speak to me either at the beginning or the end of the day.

(Mr Milano)

Mrs Moore will be helping us with guided reading, interventions

and maths.

Useful Information

Our PE days are Mondays and Wednesdays.

Times Tables Tests are on Friday.

Spelling Tests are on Mondays.

Homework is given out on Thursdays and is due in the following Tuesday.

Please ensure your child reads 3 times a week and that this is recorded in their diary.

On Wednesday 3rd April 2019 Years 5 and 6 enjoyed a fantastic day visiting the Mansfield Jamee Masjid Mosque in the morning followed by Mansfield Museum in the afternoon. We had an amazing morning learning so much about the Islam religion - including listening to the beautiful call to prayer and having all our many questions being answered - we even got some yummy cake! During the afternoon, Geoff at the Museum organised lots of fun trails and activities for us to take part in to explore the museum - including us earning points and prizes! A huge thank you to all the staff at both the mosque and the museum for a truly excellent day.

A huge thank you to Mrs Moore for our new reading area!

Jaguars win Children in Need class Pudsey award!

After designing their own Pudsey masks and delivering a Children in Need poem to the whole school Jaguars were declared victorious earning themselves an extra play time on Wednesday afternoon and a scrumptious pack of biscuits!

Children in Need was a great success raising a brilliant £685 through non-uniform, bake sales, raffle tickets and much much more. Well done to everyone who made the day so wonderful for everyone involved and raising so much money for a good cause.
