Year 3 and 4 - Lynx

Welcome to the Lynx Class 2018-19!

Mrs Debic teaches us Monday - Wednesday and Mrs Rigby teaches us Thursday - Friday.

Mrs Bennett, Mrs Hill and Mrs Moore also work with us throughout the week.

We are really looking forward to the year ahead. Here you will find photos of some of the things we have been doing along with specific information and letters for our class.

This half term our topic is 'Why are animals human too?' - a Science-based topic. We are looking forward to enhancing our topic with a trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park in May, where we will be taking part in an animal classification workshop among many other things.

Homework will be sent out each Wednesday and should be completed and returned by the following Monday. We will alternate sending English and maths homework each week and it will support the work we have been doing in school that week. The children will be rewarded with a stamp if they return their homework on time each week over the half term. They will also receive weekly spellings and times tables which they will be tested on each week.

Spelling tests will be on Tuesdays and times table tests will take place on Wednesdays. Please encourage your child to practise their new spellings which will be in their diaries. Please also ensure that you listen to your child read at home regularly, encouraging them to try a wide range of books. Children will receive a reward stamp each week if they have read at least three times at home, but this must be recorded and signed by an adult from home.
