What a treat this was! We were delighted to be invited to the Civic Centre to have breakfast with Santa, A group of children were able to meet Santa in his grotto, receive a present and then enjoy a delicious breakfast. Thank you to Poppy and Harper’s mum for organising this special treat for us.
Today, the children were greeted by Santa driving a pink tuk-tuk around the playground. The children practised their Christmas songs as he drove around the playground and it was lovely to see them smiling.
A massive thank you for all the donations which will go to the Rosie May Foundation. The money will help buy a school bag, which includes educational resources and a pair of shoes, to get children back to school in Sri Lanka.
Sleeping Beauty Pantomime Trip
Christmas has started at Dalestorth today. It is a Dalestorth tradition that we go to Mansfield Palace Theatre to see the annual pantomime. The children and staff had an amazing time laughing, shouting and singing. It was lovely to see the whole school together. Thank you Mansfield Palace Theatre for having us. ðŸŽ
On Thursday, we had a very special assembly to celebrate Mrs Renshaw's retirement. Mrs Renshaw started at Dalestorth in 1991 and has, therefore, seen many children and families. Mrs Renshaw is the epitome of dedication and her caring and kind nature has given thousands of children the confidence to grow socially and academically. We hope you have a happy retirement.
We also said goodbye to Mrs Turner as she starts her new adventure. We know that Mrs Renshaw and Mrs Turner will still stay in contact with us and we want to wish them the very best.
