  • What a Drama!

    Mon 27 Mar 2017 Mr R M Rumsby

Mr Scanlan's Drama Group put on a show.

A big well done to all the children of Drama club who worked hard to put together a series of skits, monologues and a climactic show-stopping musical number at the end. They performed for the whole school in the afternoon and then again for parents and family members after school. Thanks to Mr Scanlan for taking the time to train these fine bunch of thespians. Additional thanks to Mrs Cargill and all staff members who supported Ethan and the children.

  • Comic Relief- Another great year!

    Mon 27 Mar 2017 Mr R M Rumsby

    Comic Relief 2017

Children turned out on mass with back-to-front and inside-out clothes, as did the staff. Money was raised through donations and a wonderful array of decorated cakes which the Y2's had prepared. Well done all at Dalestorth for another great fund raising day. The children of Dalestorth never fail to enter into the spirit of the occasion and thank you parents for supporting this worth while cause.

  • Reilly great author's visit

Wed 08 Mar 2017 Mr Rumsby

Tuesday morning saw the arrival of Eammon Reilly: folk musician, children's author and raconteur. The children of Dalestorth were captivated, horrified, spell-bound and amused in equal measure. Eammon will be back on Thursday to sign copies of his books, which can be bought at the school office. He gave the children lots of ideas of writing their own stories- watch this space.

Please have a look at the pictures. The children's faces tell the story.

  • Book Day- 'Awesomeness'

    Sun 05 Mar 2017 Mr R M Rumsby

What a range of creative and original costumes were on show. Thank you to all the children and your parents who helped you dress up in the spirit of Book Day. The day provided a reminder of how much we all love books and the pleasure reading brings.
