Remembrance

A big thank you to our school kitchen who made these beautiful biscuits as a way of encouraging the children to think about Remembrance.  We had a fantastic assembly the day before by Alexander Brewer (brother of Edith in Year 5) who is an ex-soldier. He talked about the importance of the poppy and talked about war in a supportive role and not about fighting. The children were fascinated by him and asked lots of questions.  He was truly inspirational and told them that he used to sit in the school hall just like they are. They were especially amazed by how much his prosthetic leg cost!  The Brewers have been coming to Dalestorth school for a very long time! Many thanks to Alexander.
